CDC Guidance For Business

 

Traveling & Commuting Measures

  • We are staggering crew start times to ensure that our crews are isolated from one another

  • We are keeping our crew configurations as consistent as possible, to ensure individuals are not moving from one crew to another

  • All out-of-town non-technical work trips and events have been canceled/postponed until further notice

  • Meetings are being conducted virtually when possible, including customer meetings, applicant interviews, etc.

  • We have provided extra accommodations for employees who may need assistance avoiding public transportation to get to work

  • Employees who travel to high-risk areas (greater-than-average COVID-19 rates) are asked to self-isolate, work from home, or take sick leave for 14 calendar days

General Hygiene

  • We are cleaning/sanitizing our offices, warehouses, work trucks, tools, and equipment daily

  • Employees are reminded to wash their hands regularly with soap and water, use hand sanitizer when available, avoid touching the face, and wear masks as required by state or local orders

  • Additional ventilation is being provided in the workplace where possible

Essential Employees Exposed to Coronavirus​

Employees exposed to a known or suspected case of COVID-19 may return to work ONLY if the following criteria are met: Employee receives a negative test result for Coronavirus, -or-

  1. For 14 days following last exposure:
  • Employee remains asymptomatic
  • Employee is not under any quarantine orders

  • Employee is pre-screened for symptoms, including temperature checks before entering the workplace

  • Employee is monitored for symptoms regularly throughout the day

  • Employee wears a mask at all times while at work

  • Employee maintains a 6-foot distance from all other individuals, as work duties permit

  • All work areas and equipment accessed/used by the employee are cleaned/disinfected routinely

CDC Guidance For Exposed Essential Workers

Employees who have Contracted Coronavirus or are Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms

  • Employees experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, are asked to notify their manager ASAP and not to come to work. Such individuals should seek medical advice immediately, get tested if advised, and not return to work until symptoms are gone. Employees returning to work after such symptoms must follow the protocol stated above under “Essential Employees Exposed to Coronavirus”

  • Employees who test positive for Coronavirus may return to work under one of the following conditions:

  • 1. Employee is symptom-free after 14 days from the date of the test that resulted in a positive diagnosis​, -or-

  • 2. Employee is retested and receives a negative diagnosis

    Sick Leave and Family Care Arrangements

    Employees who cannot come to work as a direct result of Coronavirus impacts are encouraged to take advantage of the FFCRA entitlements to paid sick leave.
